    Cutting the cord

Life, Graham K. Rogers, Published on 14/12/2016

» During the week I went into the offices of my TV provider and cancelled my subscription. I was politely asked why. Choice. The next morning I was not surprised when the company phoned and a polite young man asked me the same question. He made an offer for a better package at a greatly reduced price. Expanding on my previous comment, I explained why it was more convenient and far more economical to use internet delivery systems for content on demand.

    Scraping the barrel

Life, Graham K. Rogers, Published on 17/06/2015

» Last week Apple held its Developer Conference (WWDC) for 2015, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. I watched the event live via the feed on Apple TV taking notes and again the next day (but more slowly) when I added some important points I had missed. Life, Graham K. Rogers, Published on 01/07/2015

Life, Graham K. Rogers, Published on 14/05/2014

» At the end of last week I was looking at Mac photography apps for this column, when the Financial Times put out a rumour that Apple was in negotiations with Beats Music, makers of Dr Dre headphones.

Podcasting in Thailand: more to come?

Database, Graham K. Rogers, Published on 14/07/2010

» Recently, Apple changed the iTunes store for Thai users and added Podcasts to the App store and iTunesU. This was long overdue. A podcast is a video or audio file sent out by its creator at intervals. It can be played on a computer or a suitable player, such as an iPod or iPhone.
