    » 1. Bangkok CityCity Gallery has a new exhibition launching tomorrow and on display until Jan 21. Museum Of Kirati, a solo exhibition by Thai artist Chulayarnnon Siriphol, reinterprets the classic Thai novel Behind The Painting (1937) by Sri Burapha (the pen name of Kulap Saipradit). The multidisciplinary show which consists of moving images, watercolour paintings and sculptures acts as a museum of remembrance to Mom Ratchawong Kirati, the protagonist in the novel. Artist Chulayarnnon portrays himself as both Kirati and her lover Nopphon, and reinterprets their tragic love story. For more information go to facebook.com/bangkokcitycity.

    » 1:Galerie Oasis Bangkok's newest art venue, located above Cinema Oasis (Sukhumvit 43) will be launching today with Piyatat Hemmatat's Eden Part II: An Exhibition Of Bronze Sculptures & Photographs. In continuation of "Eden, Part I", in Charoen Krung's Serindia Gallery, the photographer and contemporary artist explores the concept and idea of banned substances through 3D bronze sculptures. Recreating his own Garden of Eden, Piyatat has moulded Biblical serpents that turn into enticing hands and eyeballs, sprouting serpent hearts, and many more creatures that comprise the mythology of this era. October marks the one-year anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol's passing, and in a gesture of dedication and remembrance, ChangChui creative hub in Thon Buri is holding a month-long programme called From Particles To Father's Universe, featuring numerous art exhibitions and talks on His Majesty and his works. Highlights include the Silence Of The Universe art exhibition, consisting of a collaboration of over 70 artists, talk sessions from PorLeawDee - The Creator, live music from Silpakorn University's Faculty of Music and tastings of nine favourite dishes of His Majesty.     » 1. Gone are the days where we had to buy bulky and expensive photo-gear to take stunning pictures. With the right lighting, composition and techniques, mobile phones can now do the trick. Thus, as part of Polish Arts and Culture Week, the Centre for European Studies of Chulalongkorn University is hosting a presentation and workshop on mobile photography by Grupa Mobilni -- a mobile-photography group from Poland. The event will feature a presentation and workshop by Kamil Kawczyński, a moderator and member of Grupa Mobilni, and a presentation on an ongoing contest, "What Would Conrad Say?". The event is free and takes place on April 26 at 3pm in Room 801 of Chulalongkorn's Chaloem Rajakumari 60 Building.
