    • Git commented : Like a lot of the things in TGhai law mean vrey littel until they are acted on. How do they gte acted on tick off the wrong person. This isn't the first time I have seen this. Rosarito beach area in Mexico a small town was developed not far form there. Foriegners and Mexcian nationals alike. After the town was developed the owner of a Spanish land grant acted on it. The court upheld his deed, everyone was evicted form the city and he owned a complete town. Fair not hardly, but thats what happened it is foolish to think it won't happen here. Far to much has transpired in the past seven years to me to believe we are welcome here by any means. When I moved here endless tourist visa runs was a normal practice try it today. Grey market big bikes with no book were common, until they started siezing them them a few months back. Sounds like no big deal some of those bikes were bought for hundreds of thousands of baht. But, it was OK law was ther never enforced, that changed instantly. Usury fees on foriegn ATM card for money to be spent in the Thai economy, now this is just to name a few. I left with the feeling that they don't want us here, they want our money here and prefer we just send it and stay away. My wife was going to pay off the house this year, but under the circumstances that's not going to happen they can have the payments until I die. I'm just paying rent. There are vast fortunes to be made in the baby boomers retiring and this is not the only place in the world a person can retire and many offer a heck of lot more Security then Thailand does, simple as that. I will stay keep my money in my home country, until they act on this and them I'm out of here. Simple as that. They won't see more then one satang beyond my immediate needs.
