    Tough act to follow

    Life, Published on 13/02/2012

» While visiting the Mon village in Sangkla Buri, I met this woman who was delivering fresh food for sale to the villagers. This woman was small and thin, approximately 40-45kg. After talking to her, she said she was capable of carrying up to 50kg on her head while manoeuvring on the steep slopes in the mountainous area. I was having a difficult time just trying to walk down the slopes carrying a camera. I was completely impressed by her strength and more than embarrassed at my own difficulty.
