» What should your hips do when you swing? -- well, your right hip will move up and back as you take the club away from the ball, and then up into a solid position as the lower body starts to generate power. The left leg should remain a little flexed as the right straightens on the backswing. I have to mention here that straightening your right leg is not set in stone, and if it works better for you -- keep a little spring in it.
