» Dear Capricorn, your motivation at work improves. Those who want to find a new job may change their mind. Forget about saving money for now. Unattached Capricornians may experience unrequited love.

    Infiltrating a roadside sex stall

» I recently spent a lovely evening strolling through Soi Nasty, which runs parallel to Everything Decent Comes Here to Die Street. I'm sure you guys are familiar with this area, as it's the perfect place to have a blessed family outing, propose marriage to your beloved, or reach enlightenment. In this culturally enriching district friendly strangers yell out to you, polite men grab your hand, generous women offer themselves like sacrificial lambs, and some motorcyclists even swerve to avoid making sidewalk squash out of you.

So you're allegedly drunk at work?

Guru, Sumati Sivasiamphai, Published on 02/03/2012

» Late last Friday night, while the sun slept and the moon tried to shine bright through the polluted, smoggy skies, our ever-trustworthy government was working tirelessly for the citizens of this miracle land. Participating in two days of parliamentary debate over draft amendments to the constitution, the MPs gave up 32 hours of their life they'll never get back, for us, the people. We should relish in this beautiful moment, a moment which demonstrates democracy at its finest, a moment which cannot be tainted...

» Everywhere you look in Bangkok, chunky, long-lensed, showy DSLRs interrupt casual outings, turning them into photo shoots. The art and science of photography has forever changed the way we shop, eat, drink, dress and party. But that's hardly what hordes of Bangkokians are probably thinking about as they fill their memory cards with endless snaps (soon to be Facebook fodder).

    There's an App for that

» It seems there is a smartphone app for just about every bloody peculiar thing you could think of. For women who want to keep track of their lady business, there is Period Tracker. For anyone who wants Ryan Gosling or Ananda Everingham to dirty talk with them and follow their finger across an iPhone screen, there is PhotoSpeak.

May the Flavour be with you

» In a galaxy not so far, far away, there's a place where the mere touch of a finger will set off an electrical impulse and make food magically appear. A mythical joint where a tactile response allows you to order your meals with the least amount of human contact possible (and if there's one thing we could all use less of, it's interaction with people).

    Gate Crasher

    Guru, Published on 23/03/2012

» - The creative option for the weekend is Lives from the Country on Sat (Mar 24). It's a collaborative effort from 70 of the artists that revolve around V64 Art Studio (143/19 Chaeng Watthana Soi 1 Yak, Vibhavadi Rangsit 64, www.v64artstudio.com), which is recuperating from the floods. As the name suggests, the event will bring the countryside to the big city through a Thai-folk music band from Maharatanabundit University and a Live Art show among other collaborative efforts in an evening of country creatives working alongside city artists. The party will feature workshops and exhibitions, starts at 5pm and will go through until people no doubt pass out in their studio cul-de-sacs after too much fruit juice. This one is more about goodwill than the money, money, money, so entry is free.
