ABBA fever grips Bangkok

» In honour of the auspicious occasion of the birthday of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on April 2, the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, produced in association with West End International, presented two mesmerising shows at the Thailand Cultural Centre. "ABBA The Symphonic Celebration" ensured two extremely well-attended performances which celebrated one of pop music's most lauded bands.

» In honour of birthday celebrations of Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana, and in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Ministry of Culture and B.Grimm, the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra (RBSO) delivered another high-spirited performance at the Thailand Cultural Centre recently. Directed by Resident Conductor Vanich Potavanich, the first item on the programme could hardly have been any more suitable as a tribute to the universal majesty of royalty.

» The Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra's increasing reputation for hitting the winning formula to draw in audiences was further boosted recently at the Thailand Cultural Centre where, for two consecutive nights, they performed to a completely packed house. Supported by the Tourism Authority of Thailand and B.Grimm, tickets for "Hollywood Soundtracks By Hans Zimmer" had sold out weeks in advance and a second show was added due to demand. The massive concert hall is not easy to fill on any occasion, so the RBSO should feel proud to have achieved this two nights running.

» In celebration of the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King's 70th birthday this year, two evenings of immense beauty and stunning creativity were staged at the Thailand Cultural Centre recently, featuring the brilliant and original music of his highly talented daughter HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, performed with great passion and commitment by the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra under the baton of music director Michel Tilkin.
