Oxfam earlier this year reported a striking statistic: eight men (mostly Silicon Valley CEOs) have the same wealth as the poorest half of the world combined. And according to another report by Forbes magazine, the wealth of the world's billionaires rose dramatically since 2000, from less than $1 trillion to $7.67 trillion in 2017.
