» When seeing a catastrophic fire of a London high-rise building in a country where safety is supposedly of paramount importance (BP, June 15), one wonders how long it will be before Thailand, where it seems safety is of a lesser importance, experience a high-rise fire of similar magnitude? Where fire appliances cannot not reach the upper floors. No fire alarms or fire doors. No smoke detectors and no sprinklers. I hope such a tragedy never happens.
