In April, local conservationists photographed a lone female close to the Khao Pra-Bang Khram Wildlife Sanctuary near Krabi. This was the news bird lovers had been waiting for. Some 200km away in a Department for National Parks facility in Surat Thani, a single male waited in captivity.
