It is, however, breaking new grounds by introducing a dim sum buffet with all the trimmings at a very affordable price of B599++ per person.

» Now, we know Salaya may seem a bit out of the way from somewhere like mid-Sukhumvit, but our venture to this low-key part of outer Bangkok proved to be more than worthwhile. Surprisingly, it only took us half an hour to get there, which is about the same amount of time you'd spend being stuck in Thong Lor's traffic on the weekend. Despite the fact that the owners are the same people behind Shabu King, this new joint is vastly different. Forget the lacklustre atmosphere of cramped spaces (like most shabu destinations) and say hello to a stunning countryside-style Japanese barn. The high ceilings let in plenty of natural light during the day time, which will no doubt impress any Instagrammer out there looking to snap up some serious #foodporn worthy photos of shabu shabu platters and sushi rolls.
