Thousands of farmers in an estimated 1,000 vehicles, mostly the iconic e-tan, were all set to meet up at the airport. At the last moment, protest leaders, in particular one ex-member of parliament, halted the procession. With a promise to see to their demands this week, the farmers agreed to return home.
