It was merely the latest in a series of painful reminders of the damage and human tragedy caused by unsafe hoardings that collapse or distract the attention of drivers at times when it is most needed. They are as much a blight on Bangkok as the flashing LCD screens blamed for traffic pile-ups. We must get serious about safety before tragedy strikes again.
