» 1. This Sunday, the Documentary Club welcomes you to a special screening of the Thai film Railway Sleepers (2016). Directed by independent filmmaker Sompot Chidgasornpongse, the film is an intimate look at the lives of train commuters in Thailand, made from footage collected over the course of eight years by Sompot himself. The screening begins at 5.15pm, with tickets costing 100 baht per seat. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with the director. The Doc Club Theater is at Charoen Krung 30.

» 1Coffee lovers are in for a treat this weekend as Away Magazine in collaboration with Lhong 1919 will be hosting their first ever Bangkok Coffee Cult event. Coming from an urge to organise a small get-together of Bangkok's best cafés, Bangkok Coffee Cult, which takes place until tomorrow, will engage people in the science and culture of coffee. At the grounds of Lhong 1919, baristas from Blue Whale, Casa Lapin, Duck You Caferista and many more will be there to serve some of their newest signature drinks. There will also be tastings of coffee cocktails and activities like coffee pairings. Bangkok Coffee Cult takes place from 11am-7pm at Lhong 1919. Tickets cost 200 baht, and can be traded for a cup of coffee at any participating café.
