Globalisation: a well-managed decline required

» The World Economic Forum's first meeting in more than two years was markedly different from the many previous Davos conferences that I have attended since 1995. It was not just that the bright snow and clear skies of January were replaced by bare ski slopes and a gloomy May drizzle. Rather, it was that a forum traditionally committed to championing globalisation was primarily concerned with globalisation's failures: broken supply chains, food- and energy-price inflation, and an intellectual-property (IP) regime that left billions without Covid-19 vaccines just so that a few drug companies could earn billions in extra profits.
The bigger picture -- the ethics of data protection

» Personal data -- we all have it. Today, how this data is being collected, used, disclosed, and cared for is of greater concern, as data breaches and targeted attacks to snatch or swindle our data, and do all sorts of nefarious things with it, become more prevalent.
Reform the military

» While some people think what led us here is the dissolution of Future Forward Party (FFP), it really goes back much further, in that the Thai military thinks they have the right to overthrow elected governments on a whim. The Thai military must be reformed (along with so much else in this country) and brought under civilian government control. As long as the current Thai military mindset remains, the merry-go-round will continue unabated. They must also be prosecuted and imprisoned for breaches of moral and ethical conduct.
