It has now expanded to support agriculture and transfer knowledge to young people and local communities. CKPower is the only Thai company to receive this prestigious recognition, underscoring its strong commitment to responsible business practices, environmental stewardship, and strengthening stakeholder confidence throughout the value chain.

Saha Group Launches Floating Solar Project with Ratch

» Bangkok, July 9, 2025 – Saha Pathana Inter-Holding Public Company Limited (SPI) is advancing its commitment to sustainable industrial development through a partnership with Ratch Pathana Energy Public Company Limited (SCG), signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop clean energy projects across all Saha Group Industrial Parks. The first initiative under this partnership is a floating solar project installed on a reservoir adjacent to the runway at Saha Group Industrial Park – Lamphun, designed to supply electricity to industrial customers and support Thailand’s renewable energy goals.

Banpu Invests in 350MW Battery Project in Australia

» Banpu Public Company Limited, a versatile energy company, has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Banpu Energy Australia Pty Limited (BEN), has signed an agreement to acquire a 50% interest in the Wooreen Energy Storage System (WESS) project. The remaining 50% is held by EnergyAustralia. Located in Latrobe Valley, Victoria, Australia, the project will have a power capacity of 350 megawatts and a storage capacity of 1,400 megawatt-hours.

Despite starting from a low base, renewable energy is experiencing robust growth in APAC, with installed generation capacity increasing at an average compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9%. By 2030, renewable energy is expected to account for 30% to 50% of the power generation mix across most APAC markets.
