Celebrations mark Mother's Day

» Mother's Day was celebrated throughout the country yesterday, with Aug 12 being the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother. The National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand, under royal patronage, has marked her birthday as the nation's Mother's Day since 1976. To celebrate, activities and events are held to mark the auspicious occasion.
