» The latest entry to the Far Cry franchise takes you on yet another journey of liberating a location from the clutches of a villainous madman. While the game remains largely similar to its predecessors, there are a few additions that make Far Cry 6 an enjoyable chaotic good time.

» Adding too much to something can make it overly complicated and almost unenjoyable whether it's putting too much salt in a dish or stuffing a bunch of superheroes in a movie, who weren't properly introduced in their standalone films (looking at you, original cut of Justice League). In the case of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, the base game provides a chunky amount of content, which is mildly enjoyable. But its second expansion, The Siege Of Paris, seems to be an expansion for expansion's sake.

» You would think that a game as massive as Assassin's Creed Valhalla wouldn't need an expansion and yet here's Wrath Of The Druids, which was released earlier this month. » Assassin's Creed Valhalla leans even more into the RPG direction that the previous two titles have taken and gives players a vast open-world to explore, different kinds of enemies to face that make each step of the journey challenging and a story that expands on the already expansive Assassin's Creed lore. But quantity doesn't always mean quality.

» There's no scarcity of hack-and-slash games around nor are stealth games lacking in the current video game landscape. The way these games work are formulaic, from the likes of button-mashing games like God Of War or something like the current iterations of Assassin's Creed that have reworked the combat system but still had that iconic stealth gameplay. Ghost Of Tsushima definitely borrows and relies on these formulas, but the result isn't another generic sword-fighting, open-world, sneak-around game. Instead, what we get is quite possibly the first Akira Kurosawa-like video game we've all been waiting for.

» The latest entry to the Far Cry franchise is finally here after much anticipation. Its predecessor, Far Cry 4, delivered a pretty ruthless villain, a gorgeous open-world environment, but a story that didn't appeal to some and a gameplay that was criticised as being too similar to the previous game. The question now is whether Far Cry 5 avoided these pitfalls.
