Chevron supports Songkhla flood relief efforts

» Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd., led by Mr. Chatit Huayhongtong, president (right), recently presented a 2.5-million-baht contribution to the Songkhla Association. The donation was received by Mr. Sathaporn Rerkpibool, president of the association (left), to support the organisation’s mission in assisting flood-affected residents in Songkhla Province. The funding will also go towards activities benefiting underprivileged groups, an inter-district youth football tournament, scholarship grants for young people, and career development initiatives aimed at creating sustainable income for local communities.

Chevron delivers drinking water to Songkhla shelters

» Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. has delivered 33,600 bottles of drinking water to two shelters in Songkhla Province - Songklanagarind Hospital Shelter and Songkhla Rajabhat University Shelter, to support flood-affected residents across the province.

Chevron Honoured for Thai Development and Social Impact

» Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. has received the prestigious “Thai Development Award” from Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, in recognition of its long-standing “Lower Carbon Biogas Rubber Project”. Running for more than a decade, the initiative has delivered measurable results by reducing the environmental impact of smoked rubber sheet production while lowering costs and increasing income for farmers. Chevron was also honoured with the “AMCHAM Corporate Social Impact Award” at the Platinum level for the 16th consecutive year. The award was presented by Mr. Robert F. Godec, U.S. Ambassador to Thailand. Ms. Pornsuree Konanta, Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd., accepted both awards at the AMCHAM Corporate Social Impact Awards 2025 ceremony held at Hotel Nikko Bangkok.

Chevron Donates Offshore Platform Crane to TPTI

» Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd., and its partner, Mitsui Energy Development Co., Ltd. recently donated an offshore platform crane to the Technical Petroleum Training Institute (TPTI) to support petroleum workforce development. Pannawat Nilkitsaranont (right), Vice President of Facilities Engineering, Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd., represented the company in handing over the crane, previously used on an offshore platform, valued at 368,500 baht, to Puangthip Silpasart (left), Executive Director of TPTI. The crane will be used to support TPTI’s training programs that help personnel gain knowledge and readiness to work safely in the petroleum industry. This activity was also supported by STP & I Public Company Limited, who helped dismantle and prepare for equipment relocation. This handover represents a collaboration among companies in the energy industry to support the sustainable development and capacity building of personnel for the sector.

Thai-MECC, IESG, PTTEP, Chevron, PTT, and OSRL jointly conducts offshore oil spill response exercise using a C-130 aircraft

» Bangkok, September 4, 2025 – Thai-MECC, IESG, PTTEP, PTTEP ED, Chevron, OSRL together with more than 25 government and private sector agencies, jointly conducted an oil spill response exercise off the coast of the Gulf of Thailand. The exercise deployed a C-130 aircraft to enhance preparedness for emergency situations, enabling oil spill containment and clean-up operations to be carried out swiftly, appropriately, and safely in accordance with legal and international standards.

Chevron Supports Southern Thailand Flood Relief Efforts

» Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd., led by Pornsuree Konanta, Vice President of Corporate Affairs, presented a donation of 666,806 baht to the Thai Red Cross Society. The donation was received by Janprapa Vichitcholchai, Deputy Director of the Fund-Raising Bureau, to support the flood relief project in southern Thailand. The region has been severely impacted by heavy rain since November 2024, particularly in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Satun, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat.

SEA-TEP Model: Shaping the Future of Teacher Education

Recognizing their pivotal role, SEAMEO STEM-ED (The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for STEM Education), through the Chevron-funded education initiative, has launched the SEA-TEP (Southeast Asian Teacher Education Program) in Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, and Malaysia to equip teachers with essential practices to deliver high-quality instruction related to STEM, setting a benchmark for regional and global education transformation through teacher education and development from the upstream.
