» The year of 'Rona meant a lot of changes in the way we do things hence the term "new normal", and Geekdom wasn't left unscathed. However, that doesn't necessarily mean it was all bad. » After DJing at friends' parties and weddings, John Budh, better known as Jonnie B, went on to become the founder of Trance Lovers Thailand, a community where DJs, fans and promoters can gather and share their love for the music genre. He, along with fellow local trance DJs have been responsible in organising trance events and booking international DJs to play at clubs and festivals. In addition, Jonnie B also manages Pure Decibel Academy, a music production studio that offers courses in DJing and electronic music production. He is developing the upcoming Dontri Festival, a music festival with seven stages that showcases the best Thailand has to offer in terms of electronic music — from electro, progressive, trance, to hip-hop, trap, hardstyle, etc. He talks to Guru about his love for the genre.
