The economic benefits of cannabis

Oped, Sutthida Lertrujwanich, Watcharin Tantisan & Nonarit Bisonyabut, Published on 19/06/2024

» Thailand is at a crossroads between accepting cannabis as a new kind of product or restricting its usage only to medical needs. » Re: “Court to hear Srettha case”, (BP, May 24) and “Thailand’s judiciary face challenges”, (Opinion, May 24). Prof Thitinan Pongsudhirak’s biting comments on the judiciary’s influence on the lifeline of an elected prime minister are most justified based on past events. Let's clear up ganja haze

Oped, Editorial, Published on 17/06/2022

» It all began quite innocently. A staff member of a well-known public organisation ate a snack before starting a shift. Soon after, the person began babbling incoherently, unable to walk in a straight line -- let alone work -- with a supervisor claiming the staff member was "worse than drunk". As it turned out, the snack was a cookie containing an unspecified amount of cannabis extract -- the use of which was recently decriminalised by the government.
