For this extremely special occasion, serving as a moment of national reflection and gratitude towards the monarchy, the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra (RBSO) curated a selection of significant and captivating works by composers from Thailand, France and England.

» The Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra presented an astoundingly accomplished evening of masterworks last month in the Main Hall of the Thailand Cultural Centre, entitled "Romantic Piano Celebration For The Queen Mother", in celebration of Her Majesty's birthday. The highly lauded Japanese conductor Koji Kawamoto directed emotionally profound performances of Romantic repertoire, opening with a particularly vibrant rendition of the Hebrides Overture by Felix Mendelssohn. German concert pianist Severin von Eckardstein then took to the stage for a marvellous interpretation of the Grieg Piano Concerto In A Minor, with the second half of the concert featuring Robert Schumann's delightful Symphony No.1 In B-flat Major (the so-called Spring symphony).
