When a golf ball is in a yellow-marked water hazard, in other words when the water is in front of you and that you have no alternative but to cross. You have two primary options after taking a one-stroke penalty: replay from the last spot you hit from or drop a ball behind the hazard along a line from the hole through to where the ball last crossed the hazard's margin.
