» Iron deficiency anaemia (IDA) remains one of the most pressing yet often overlooked health concerns in Thailand, affecting up to one in three children under five years old. Because early-stage IDA typically presents no clear symptoms, it is known as a “silent threat” that can permanently impair brain development, lowering a child’s IQ by as much as 13%.
