» As electronics manufacturers flesh out new gadget frontiers, a new breed of camera has emerged on shelves that sits somewhere between compacts and DSLRs. They offer a compact chassis, due to the elimination of the mirror system, as well as DSLR quality with the inclusion of an APS-C sized sensor. Recently, manufacturers began adding interchangeable lenses to them, enhancing their functionality and marketability _ calling them MILs (mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras).
