Seeing red

Guru, Richard Mcleish, Published on 09/03/2012

» Just when Silom looked to be lost to bank headquarters, massage parlours and tourists, Scarlett Wine Bar & Restaurant has popped onto the scene in full bright crimson. It has nothing to do with Miss Johansson, sadly, as she would have had punters drooling all the way to Patpong after the recent photo leak of her bathroom demeanour. Instead, the Silom spot is a sister venue of Scarlett in Beijing that has been wining and dining Far East-based shmoozers since 2009.

Featherweight Showdown

B Magazine, Richard Mcleish, Published on 11/03/2012

» The battle of the lightweights has begun and although neither HP nor Asus will admit it, they are both following Apple into the ultraportable notebook arena. The future of portable computing is light and powerful, and Apple continues to set the standard with its MacBook Air range. The year of living technologically

B Magazine, Richard Mcleish, Published on 08/01/2012

» It's been quite the year for technology news, with gadgets, apps and lawsuits stealing the headlines, not to mention the death of the great Apple leader, Steve Jobs. But as the news gets more interesting, so does the quality of gadgets being made available to consumers. For a start, smartphones have become larger and cheaper, and almost every manufacturer now has a tablet of some sort on the shelf (except for HP, which pulled its TouchPad just six weeks after its July release).
