    Inequality threatens global stability

News, Joseph Stiglitz, Published on 12/02/2013

» In the shadow of the euro crisis and America's fiscal cliff, it is easy to ignore the global economy's long-term problems. But, while we focus on immediate concerns, they continue to fester, and we overlook them at our peril.

It's time to lay the Kaeng Sua Ten Dam project to rest

    News, Published on 14/02/2013

» Last Saturday Deputy Prime Minister Plodprasop Suraswadi, who is chairman of the government's Water Management and Flood Prevention Commission, proposed to implement the Mae Wong Dam and resurrect the Kaeng Sua Ten Dam as part of the huge flood-prevention package now being formulated. A better way to fight climate change

News, Jeffrey D Sachs, Published on 03/03/2013

» Of all major world regions, Europe has worked the hardest to implement policies aimed at countering human-caused climate change. Biodiversity depends on sustainability

    News, Published on 17/03/2013

    Power of the three

News, Voranai Vanijaka, Published on 07/04/2013

» Shifting alliances, it's deliciously Machiavellian. There are no BFFs (best friends forever) in politics. Don't be surprised if the old establishment, the military and the Thaksin Shinawatra political machine make a pact to govern Thailand as a triumvirate, leaving the Democrat Party out in the cold. Don't be surprised if negotiations are already under way to achieve that.
