    THAI is bad?

By terryt, Created on: 29/01/2015, Last updated on: 03/02/2015

» What do you gents think of THAI Airways? All I read is that it’s a grap airline. Flew them domestically and it was good. Better than Air Asia! How are they for long-haul flights? Saw one comment that said, their service is still much better than any European airline e.g. Air France,...

    • Carlsson commented : a bonus plus a rise of ca. 2 percent. They were furious. The demanded a double bonus and a rise of ca. 3 percent. They threatened to go on strike. Management caved in and gave them what they demanded. This is one more reason why the airline does not make enough money. The president of THAI is powerful until he tries to make a serious change. Then he will find out that the system does not wish anything to change at all. The airline is subject to political interference. The president of THAI is hired for four years but the last two or three presidents did not serve more than one year each. They were fired or decided to leave because it was impossible to make any real changes. The situation will not change until THAI is removed from political influence. It is a sad situation, but it is not likely that it will change any time soon.
