Political storms that will define 2020
News, Chairith Yonpiam, Published on 04/01/2020
» The new year has begun with intensifying political confrontation, a consequence of a move to disband the Future Forward Party, which fought back by mobilising street demonstrations. » Even though Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and his government survived the Feb 16-19 no-confidence motion, there are a number of debate issues that pose questions about his leadership and his sincerity towards solving such matters. Among them is a recent case that's come to light -- the promotion of senior police officers through a ticketing system that has been riddled with irregularities and nepotism.

News, Veera Prateepchaikul, Published on 13/07/2020
» After six years in office and having earned the unenviable reputation of being an "angry pot" for his occasionally unprovoked outbursts at Government House reporters, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha might have thought it was about time for him to change tack and reach out to media outlets that he didn't appear to admire.

Well, after that things can only get better
News, Roger Crutchley, Published on 27/12/2020
» What a dreadful year. We found ourselves having to tackle a whole new vocabulary and most of the words were enough to make even the most optimistic among us depressed.
