My wife has told me that is only safe to put a header and a way of finding a link (if it is possible in your Country) but not the link to an item itself if it is banned or contains information that is subject to the Les Majeste law. You also may not quote from such items. That is, the offending words in the book cannot be quoted, a link to the book cannot be given...but comments that may help to find a link are permissable. Does anyone have more precise information on what is permissable? Or is it simply removed by BP...as the host and we can rely on them not to have caused offence?

Better play it safe in case of doubt. Anyways, what are we really allowed to talk about and what is taboo? Where are the boundaries. Certain subjects are obvious but others may remain in a grey zone. Big problem is, interpretation. You may end up in jail, because somebody may have read something into your lines, witch was not really there. Like, "this [color=#FF0000:33uh9zle]could mean [/color:33uh9zle]that you said...", not really, "this says..." I mean knowing, that there are more then 60 people accused of those charges, people who may not even be aware of it, is a bit scary, isn't it?

Symbiotic, the guest helps the host and the host helps the guest, they live together in harmony for a long time. 2. Parasytic, the parasite lives off the host until the host dies, then the parasite finds another host! Hosts... 1. The host who has a genuine feeling of security and loves the company of friends, known or otherwise. 2. The spiders web syndrome, welcome to my parour! (guest who's for dinner)

Apart from applauding the author, I do not see any way of discussing the content. It is open for comments, which amazes me. What is BP thinking? Is it a method for rooting out any potential critics? Thais go to prison for 10-15 Y, foreigners go home after a month or two.

Farang and their seemingly paradoxical ways

By Mr. Surin Province, Created on: 17/10/2008, Last updated on: 17/04/2010

» As a long-historied Farang resident myself, comfortable and understanding, I have to ask the age old question regarding Westerners that find it necessary to stay/live here while finding life so objectionable in many ways. Why is this so? I've experienced this throughout Asia {in particular the LOS}...

    • singpurdonki commented : hi all SJB the life of BP forum and Ian too but lately seen not much of him. sure bored if only serious writers without the injections and interuptions of these two persons and others. most farang when they post their opinion and views... squabble, critical, bickering among farangs, its acceptable. however if on farang post, the above and bickering is from a non-farang or thai then it seems all hell break loose. why must farang be so adamant in their view and feel slighted if contradicted by non-farang? even in an antinomy. it seems the mirror on the wall is not working for farang, and only farang have integrity, the rest no. the characteristic of farangs in tis forum are like the french among the european, INTROVERT, but farangs would like others to perceive them as extrovert. then you hear farang complaining its difficult to make friends with thais(due to culture, bias, etc,) what happen to farang free speech and right to reply? must farang have the last word? eg.: you refer to airport scam, posts between obroadie, timjakelton and me, SJB, obroadie brand cemkoh a racist and in doing so, slur buddhism. intentional or not, i do not know at tat time. my revert forewarning on the serious consequences of criticism of religion result in obroadie jumping ascribe arrogation. timjakelton, with a new found friend on my expense, invite SJB for a drink and not me. baffle me that courtesy as a proffessional is not shown. (sure everything here is relative hypothetical) i trust all readers and posters are mature to understand that all above are not personal vendetta and only a reflection of a non-farang view nonetheless, i honestly feel and state that obroadie and timjakelton are good farang from their posts

if married in thailand can she claim for half of what you own in uk

By Anonymous, Created on: 08/09/2007, Last updated on: 02/11/2007

» if married in thailand i am a uk man she is thai lady can she have a claim on my property and my bussiness if we were to divorce

    • Anonymous commented : I think you guys need some professional advice in this regard. Today thai girls are wise and mostly it is them to chase you to register marriage. All property acquired and kept in, say in London before this thai marriage, is of course excluded to divide when thai divorce. However wise thai wife tracks them down on pillow and half drunken farang gave all past information to her. Then she will chase you to sell them and buy new condo nearby London, or if they are stock, let you switch from BP to Shell stock. If you do this, all your money is subject to share her. Even if you dont confess, Thai resident lawyors or 'True' detective service in London track down your personal information about double marriage, hidden property and hidden children. My best advice to all of you are Dont register marriage, but support thai wife and if you really love her, buy a house to her, and say clearly "This is all what I can do for you because I love you". That is it, then your life will be safer. If you have new child from thai wife, you can concede title to child with its fater - your name, then your wife and her sibling can not sell it without your attention to the registration office (in Thailand, regional land department, Do not put thai wife name as the inheritant, or her brothers will do harm to you children). Once again, the best advice to all of you farang men is, do not register marriage.

    Thai Marriage Laws

By Anonymous, Created on: 18/05/2007, Last updated on: 11/08/2010

» I am trying to understand why Westerners living and married to Thai nationals are denied permanent residency status once they are legally married in the kingdom. In the west a Thai national receives residency once they are officially married to a western citizen. Procedures are followed and intensive...

    • Aussie John commented : YasoBoy. Great you've read all of Piras books. Then you should understand when I talk of the Chinese influence in the kingdom and how they have created laws to benifit themselves while the lower classes of ethnic Thais have become subservient. He spells it out clearly it is not just story telling. It is said and emphasised by those in power that your sistuation in life is borne of your karma. This is just propaganda to ensure one stays where one is born. My wife still experiences discrimination here in Australia by Chinese /Thais as they are the biggest group here who have enough money to come and study here with many opening businesses and buying property. Read the article by Voranai in the opion section of the BP he spells it out truthfully and he is ethic Thai. I am just a mere farang but I have a strong beautiful Issan wife who has kept her cultural roots. She is not ashamed of her dark skin because her family has spent centuries in the kingom not a couple of hundred years. In my eyes she is trully Thai just as Australian Aboriginals are the true Australians. I respect their culture and history as it is thousands of years old. They 'are the land' as opposed to what the white man sees as mere ownership. It is very much the same in Thailand although I have never heard elite Thais proclaim they are SORRY for the mistreatment of ethnic Thais as to this day Thai elites assume they are superior to their dark skinned brothers and sisters. Do you still disagree that this is not the case?
