» The Australian embassy in Thailand sits on Sathon Road behind a tall white fence, a mustard-gold building elevated on stilts, lined with tiles made by a ceramicist in Chiang Mai. A lake twists around and under the embassy and a flat shrub, perfectly fashioned in the shape of Australia, lies out the front of the building. For decades, it has been one of the most recognisable works of architecture on the busy Bangkok road.

» It's "rear-end backwards" time again in Thailand. While the rest of the world enjoyed the Thai tourism video made with khon figures, including the Thai community here in California, only the Thais in Thailand complained. Oh ye of narrow vision and little faith. Wake up and see Thailand for what it really is, and how it is perceived, certainly not a country of only beautiful beaches and temples.

It's made up of multiple smaller events set to be held until Jan 15 next year.
