» I have written about Hua Hin in this column quite a few times before. This week, instead of exploring one of the many mountain-bike trails on the hills of Hin Lek Fai, let's do something different. Our route today starts from a mangrove, Hua Hin's only urban mangrove.

» Never judge a book by its cover. Likewise, don't overlook this week's featured trail just because the photos are lousy. Sometimes, when a track is so much fun stopping all your ride buddies just so you can take pictures is too selfish. This forest trail in Singapore is a case in point.

Ride through Thai history

» Songkran, the traditional Thai New Year, is the time Thais living and working in all parts of the country return to their hometowns to reunite with their families. This year, the festival reminds me of a special place where family members not only can spend quality time together but also learn more about the country's history as well as its diverse cultural heritage. More than that, it's one of the best places to enjoy a leisurely bike ride.
