» พล.ต.ต.สุรเชษฐ์ หักพาล รองผบช.ทท. แถลงข่าว ทลายเครือข่ายแก๊งอินเดียแอบนำบัตรประชาชนหญิงไทยไปจดทะเบียนสมรสเพื่อนำไปยื่นขอวีซ่าอยู่ต่อในประเทศไทย พร้อมชาวอินเดีย ทั้งหมด 8 คน และมีผู้เสียหายเป็นคนไทย แต่ที่มีรายชื่อที่โดนนำไปจดทะเบียนประมาณ 300 ราย แต่ที่มาในวันนี้เจ้าหน้าที่ได้ทำการเพิกถอนการจดทะเบียนสมรสโดยมิชอบด้วยกฏหมายดังกล่าว จำนวน 13 ราย และอยู่ในระหว่างการประสานและติดตามผู้ที่มีรายชื่อตกเป็นคู่สมรสโดยที่ตนเองไม่ทราบเรื่องดังกล่าวมาให้ปากคำกับเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจ เพื่อดำเนินการเพิกถอนสมรสดังกล่าว ที่สำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติ ปทุมวัน กรุงเทพมหานครEight Indian nationals have been detainedfor suspected involvement in a scam usingthe names of Thai women in forged marriagelicences to stay in the country longer
