Released in 1981, Rushdie's book was named the "Booker of Bookers", as it won the top prize at the 25th and 40th anniversaries of the world-renowned literary prize.

Directed by Sara Blecher, it will have a a screening at Foreign Correspondents' Club tonight, presided over by the new South African Ambassador to Thailand, Robina P. Marks, also an activist and freedom fighter.
