» Brunch on a hot Sunday doesn't have to be a boring affair in the blistering heat. It can be poolside while you sip on white wine as the DJ plays breezy tunes.

» Named after the house number and the road where it is located, 100 Mahaseth serves North and Northeastern Thai cuisines with a modern twist. Those who frequent the Charoen Krung area or work in Sathon or Silom may have walked past 100 Mahaseth's metallic rust-coloured front with a warehouse-garage looking facade a few times, as the restaurant opened last September. Originally opened only for dinner, 100 Mahaseth has expanded their opening hours to include lunch. And for those who haven't dined here, prepare to have an unique dining experience -- nose-to-tail.

    Biker brunch

Guru, Pasavat Tanskul, Published on 18/05/2018

» Food and vehicles may seem like an unlikely collaboration, but if prior efforts are of any evidence, it's that automobile/motorcycle cafes are no strangers to experimentation. From Ducati's concept restaurant a few years back in Thong Lor to Honda's recent collaboration with Greyhound at CUB House in Ekamai, these hybrid eateries are where diners have a meal while attending a casual motorshow. Sathorn's brunch cafe Luka has collaborated with BMW Thailand dealer MF Motorad to bring their second branch named Luka Moto, a cafe that aims to accommodate those with a lifestyle that relies on the need for speed. Having opened in March, the two-floor motorcycle-centric brunch spot is on the ground floor of The Taste Mall on Thong Lor 11, and is a haven for motorbike enthusiasts and brunch fans alike.

Come for the hooters, stay for the wings

Guru, Pasavat Tanskul, Published on 22/06/2018

» On the corner of Soi Thaniya on Silom Road is the newest branch of Hooters, sitting in what was once Flann O'Brien's Irish Pub. The American sports bar franchise, with its famous buffalo wings, beers and of course, Hooters Girls, is no stranger to the country as this newest outlet is the third in Bangkok -- the sixth overall in the country -- to be established. Curious customers who have yet to set foot in one of the eatery chains can do so now with ease as this branch is a few steps away from BTS Sala Daeng and a five-minute walk from MRT Silom.

    Steak out

Guru, Pasavat Tanskul, Published on 10/08/2018

» In the neon-lit entertainment district that is Patpong, a steakhouse is probably the last place you would think of dining in for quality meat. And yet, as my friend and I walked into a small alley off Silom Road, past through rows of booths and stores selling touristy souvenirs, The Steakhouse Co., a contemporary bar and grill steakhouse lies in stark contrast with the go-go bars nestled further within the alley.

    The other Korean chicken

Guru, Pasavat Tanskul, Published on 17/08/2018

» When it comes to South Korean cuisine, a popular concept they are known for is "chimaek", which is the pairing of fried chicken and beer. As simple as that sounds, I wouldn't mind munching on some crispy fried chicken while washing it down with a nice, tall glass of beer after work.
