» 1. Missed last year’s "The Doraemon Exhibition Tokyo 2017"? No need for tears, as basics giant Uniqlo is bringing one of the designs that was showcased during the exhibition into their stores. Twenty-eight leading Japanese artists were invited to create artworks featuring Doraemon, and Uniqlo is bringing the work of one of the most popular and recognised artists to your closet. Everybody’s favourite robot cat gets floral treatment like you’ve never seen before by everybody’s favourite flowery artist Takashi Murakami. A total of 15 tees will be featuring Doraemon with a splash of Murakami flowers in all colours of the rainbow. There will be a plush toy in the same Murakami style too, but for the traditionalists, check out the line of tees using graphics from the original comics. Available in Uniqlo stores and online at uniqlo.com/th.

Feeling all right

B Magazine, Parisa Pichitmarn, Published on 26/08/2018

» There is a stillness -- borderline boring -- to Scrubb's chosen mode of visual expression. The constant of stony faces and stock-still poses that embellishes all of the band's album artwork, editorial photo shoots and magazine covers is bequeathed on us too, as Torpong "Ball" Chantabubpha and Thawatpon "Muay" Wongboonsiri laugh through gritted teeth that it is actually a strain for them to smile for the cameras or to assume the role of a dancing monkey.

A heart-racing time at the track

Life, Parisa Pichitmarn, Published on 28/09/2018

» Locals say The Fullerton is where the best view is when it comes to the Formula 1 races held in Singapore, but, to be honest, a 360 view has nothing on being near the vroom-ing roar of engines, right at the heart of the happening. Unless you were to throw a party for 40 in your suite's veranda, it's probably a better idea to splash on getting actual tickets to the event than paying five times the usual room rates. For a first-timer to this whole night-race experience and F1 weekend in Singapore, there is nothing quite as infectious as the collective gasps and cheers every time a race car zooms by or how one derives guilty pleasure when witnessing a crash.
