    Loving lavender

Muse, Napamon Roongwitoo, Published on 26/10/2013

ยป As one of the most-loved scents around the world, lavender is a relaxing and romantic fragrance. In ancient times, it was used for mummification and perfumery by the Egyptians, while the Greeks and Romans bathed in water scented with the plant. England's Queen Elizabeth I was also a lavender lover. She was known for using it as the scent of her perfume and for drinking lavender tea to calm her headaches. More than 230 years later, Queen Victoria always asked her servants to put lavender in every room to freshen the air and linen. Ancient Iranians also used it as a traditional treatment for burns and inflammatory conditions.
