» When people talk about Prachuap Khiri Khan, they mostly think about Hua Hin, the century-old resort town with the 5km-long sandy beach, or the famous Phraya Nakhon Cave in Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park. Not many are interested in the Bang Saphan and Thap Sakae districts, which have been promoting community tourism. Bang Saphan has long been well-known for gold ore and black rattan basketry, while Thap Sakae is home to pristine beaches, waterfalls and forests.

» One of my favourite actors recently left this world prematurely due to frail health caused by chronic excessive drinking. It is sad, because Warut Woratham, once the country's No.1 heartthrob, had managed to quit drinking and opted for a healthy lifestyle a few years prior to his death, but the alcohol-related damage to his health had been done. However, not many tourists pay attention to places which reflect the province's historical significance and sufficiency economy principles. » Although a new theory denies Sukhothai being the first capital of Thailand, no one can refute the fact that it was one of the most important kingdoms in Thai history. It was where the Thai language, the unique lotus bud-shaped stupas and the beautiful Sukhothai-style Buddha images were created. This year, Sukhothai Historical Park celebrates its 40th anniversary and has new sites for visitors to explore.

    Nocturnal indulgence

Life, Pichaya Svasti, Published on 12/05/2016

» Thailand is one of the world's most popular tourist destinations due to its beautiful attractions, diverse culture, ways of life, delicacies and, of course, shopping venues. Night markets are a form of flea markets. They have become popular over the past few years in Bangkok because their late hours, usually from 4pm to midnight, meet the demands of customers who want to shop after school and work. In addition, the bad economy and inflation have forced consumers to opt for cheaper goods from alternative sources.
