» Chulalongkorn University celebrated the 100th anniversary of its founding with the grand opening of the new CU Centenary Park, a 29 rai plot of green space located along Soi Chula 9, in the Suan Luang area. The March 26 event was attended by dignitaries from the university, as well as HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, who is herself an alumni of the university's Faculty of Arts.

Until March 31, Paul Smith -- the British fashion brand that coined the phrase "classic with a twist" -- will host a pop-up installation featuring home products from Italian brand Toiletpaper, a collection of classic-looking porcelain cups, bowls and plates that sport a variety of strange, printed patters, such as a horse, a plumber or a set of palm-less fingers (don't ask us why). The installations can be found at the Paul Smith official stores at EmQuartier and Siam Paragon.

Life also recently published a review of the game, praising it for its wonderfully realised world and characters, both of which were so enjoyable that they overshadowed several of what we felt were the game's glaring flaws.

» 1 Treat yourself to some of the best short films in recent Thai history with Lost In Blue, a collection of three student-made films revolving around various types of heartbreak. The three films (Wannan Kong Duen -- That Day Of The Month, Rain and Glowstick) -- directed by recent graduates of Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Communication Arts -- have collectively won various awards both in Thailand and abroad. The long list of accolades includes the White Elephant Film Award, the Young Thai Artist Award, and, most prominently, the Special Jury Mention award from the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival. The latter is known as one of the most prestigious short-film competitions in the world, and that makes Wannan Kong Duen one of only two Thai short films ever to win an award at the competition. The film is being shown exclusively at SF World Cinema, CentralWorld.

» Ever since its release on August 6, Pokemon Go has taken Thailand by storm, prompting hordes of enthusiastic players of all ages and genders to take to the streets in search of these virtual critters. In the 2010 adventure game (released for the PS3 and Xbox360), a group of abominable snowmen have been abducting and eating children, much to the horror of the locals. So when he came across one in the vast wild-west setting of the game, Kusters knew exactly what to do.
