I see from our "flour" ex-minister Thamanat's asset declaration that he has not one but two wives, evidently living in harmony, as evidenced by their two children. Many men would be most grateful if he'd reveal how he's managed that feat, as my wife insists that Thai laws allow us only one spouse each, with strict punishment for violation.

» I must say Prof Thitinan Pongsudhirak ("What the 'Pimrypie' sensation foretells", Opinion, Jan 22) correctly exposes the flaws of Thai hierarchical society (Opinion, Jan 22). In spite of the superhighways, BTS, malls, majestic wats and palaces, Thailand remains rooted in its feudal past. It is the same in a few other countries surrounding Thailand.
