    Holding Your Own

B Magazine, Andrew Biggs, Published on 01/08/2010

» 'Hey you're that farang who teaches English, right?" The voice comes from just to my right and it kind of startles me. I turn around to see a Thai woman of indeterminate age, though no more than 60 and hopefully not less than 45. One hand is on her hip and the other is clutching a mop. Her hair is tied back in a bun and she has a weather-beaten look, as if working with a mop is more palatable than anything she's ever done in a rice paddy.

Learningpost, Dr B James Johnson, Published on 14/12/2010

Gary Orman is that man and he promises that his "Read Thai in a Weekend" rapid language learning method can do just that. I repeat: in just two days (actually only 12 hours when you subtract the time for long lunches and multiple coffee klatches). If this sounds incredulous to you, you are not alone.

Thief claims women’s undies are his

    Published on 15/09/2012

» A 36-year-old man was chased down Sukhumvit Road, South Pattaya, after witnesses saw him emerging from an apartment complex with computer parts, women’s underwear and a sex toy described as a black penis. Wichart Premonchart admitted he had visited a room in the apartment block but claimed all the items belonged to him and were not stolen. However, this defence collapsed when the women’s clothes proved to be too small to fit him. Police later confirmed that Wichart had stolen the items. His escape was slowed down by the large number of items he was carrying, which led to his capture.
