    • Peter-new commented : One thing is very interesting to observe: too many people (politicians, demonstrators) are hiding behind "H.M.The King and the Royal Family", which should be out of any discussion or critic, simply be TABU for everybody. This hiding is coward behaviour, as everybody in opposition to these folks will risk being jailed. Once again, this great TABU must be respected. Once everybody will respect it, o.k. let´s go on & fight with arguments each other as in any democratic system & not fight with legal tricks. But fight with real & fair arguments. The voters will be most thankful & honour the better arguments. Anything different to such will be of evil & increase the rift between the two sides in the people. I know Thailand since 1970 & have not seen much change in understanding democracy there. Besides some improvements of the life of the farmers (they have TV now & fridge & a motobike or a pick-up), they live as before. If they do not receive the money support from their daughters & sons living abroad, they still have not much cash to spend. Another thing bothers me much, if I see it in the TGN TV: the cotaw, people kneen in front of superiors & bowing their head down to the ground. Well, if they do it infront of a Buddha image or for the Royal Family, no problem. It is a sign of great veneration & respect. But if relatives of a killed soldier do it or have to do it for an officer, who is handing them an envelope with some money, come-on, in what century do we live. This has noting to do with tradition. It is a shame & a disrespect of the mens´s dignity. It should be abolished. In a democracy all people are equal & could meet face to face. Again the one exception: The Royal Family, who deserves this great gesture of respect & veneration.
