And yes, Madonna is definitely by now somewhere in Bangkok, after photos showing her arrive at the airport on Sunday night popped up online, enough for her "children" across Thailand to swoon. As you read this, just take a moment to get this fact registered in your head the Queen of Pop is actually here on the same soil as the rest of us, breathing this same polluted Bangkok air. She could be queuing up for some moo ping for breakfast on the streets, or on the back of a motorcycle to Platinum in search for new looks, we don't know.

    » Singapore's Art Week is over but it doesn't mean there aren't any good remnants left. The newly-opened National Gallery, for one, is hardly what one would call a remnant, with a comprehensive collection of works by Southeast Asian artists from the 19th century onwards which would take at least a day to completely take in. There are also, of course, a few major shows at the old military quarters-turned-art hub Gillman Barracks, such as Steve Mccurry's iconic photography show, Yinka Shonibare's new sculptures and Joan Jonas' acclaimed "They Come To Us Without A Word" exactly as seen in last year's Venice Biennale.

In his ''Villa In The Slums'' exhibition, the sculptural centrepiece is the actual shed which the artist had a local carpenter build in the slums and where America lived for two weeks before dismantling it and moving it to the exhibition space.
