Yes, we at Guru have complained a lot about the city's many negative aspects but we also can't deny that the city has improved. Is there room for improvement? Oh, definitely. But there are many things that we use right now that we simply cannot imagine life without. What would life be without the services of GrabFood to deliver meals to your door or Shopee and Lazada to do your shopping from the comfort of your home? How about the Lock Box storage facilities we see in many BTS and MRT stations that help tourists roam without having to drag their luggage with them? » Maybe a few of us have forgotten the smog that engulfed us in the beginning of the year, making leaving the house a game of "to choke or not to choke". Now it is the scorching heat that seems to be worse than before. While short-term solutions do a little to elevate, we know that the root of the problem is climate change. If we don't take action now, it's going to get worse later. Bangkok has its share of eco-problems whether it's pollution or waste, but instead of listing them, we can figure out ways of how we can help, even in small doses. » The Big Mango is home to a beautiful skyline and a number of towering skyscrapers. A casual walk along Sukhumvit or Sathon and a glance upwards will prove this to be true, but towering behemoths aren't enough these days. The latest trend are skywalks and high-elevated walkways -- clear glass-bottomed floors that give you an unhindered sight of the many, many feet below, turn your legs to jelly and make your stomach turn.
