    Moto loses its mojo

Life, Kanin Srimaneekulroj, Published on 27/12/2017

» After last year's delightful Moto Z modular phone, one of the more interesting models in its price-range, it's a wonder why Motorola even bothered to release something like the Moto X4 this year. With middling specs across the board and no real notable feature to talk about, the Moto X4 is yet another mid-range Android phone, one among countless thousands already on the market today.

    Nice cans

» Wearing the Bowers and Wilkins P9 -- the latest release commemorating the 50th anniversary of the famed British company -- doesn't feel like wearing headphones at all. Thanks to the large cups that envelope your entire ear, the comfy memory-foam and decadent leather coverings, the actual weight of the mostly-metal pair of headphones is largely unnoticeable, while the angled audio-drivers give a sort of "surround-sound" quality to the headphones' output, making the sound seem like it's coming from an external source from the front rather than a device on top of or in your ear. The sound quality is also sublime, offering distinct depths of sound that somehow makes every separate part of a song even more distinct.

Asus ZenBook 3 review: Can it take the heat?

» Looking at the Asus ZenBook 3's specs on paper, there really isn't anything not to love about this ultrabook. Running Windows 10 on an Intel Core i7 processor (or i5, for cheaper versions) with support for up to a whopping 16GB of RAM (4GB for lesser models), 500GB of native storage and a full-HD (1920x1080) resolution LED screen wrapped in a body comparable to a MacBook Air, the ZenBook 3 seems poised to blow it's Mac OS counterparts out of the proverbial water in terms of power, while matching them for portability. Alas, poor heat management and battery life holds back the machine from showing its full power, making it, at best, equal to the MacBook Air in some areas, and borderline broken in others.

    Perfectly impractical

» When it comes to smartphones, Sony is hardly considered among the "big boys" of the industry like Samsung or Apple. Approaching Sony's latest flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z5 Premium, I was sceptical at first. While the newest model in Sony's Xperia line proves to be a huge step in the right direction -- with an impressive 23MP back camera, 5.5-inch 4K resolution display and even workable water, plus fall-proof technology -- there are still plenty of caveats to the device that holds it back from standing toe-to-toe with the likes of Samsung's Galaxy S line or Apple's iPhones, despite the similar price tag.

Reality, not as we know it

Life, Kanin Srimaneekulroj, Published on 16/09/2015

» Experiencing the Samsung Gear VR was, beyond a doubt, the coolest thing to happen to me in 2015 -- at least for a few hours...
