    MEA Advances Rama IV Road with Underground Cables

    » The Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA), in collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), the Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), the Telecommunications Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, the Royal Thai Police, telecommunications entrepreneurs, and network operators, is supporting the removal of communication cables along Rama IV Road from the Bangkok Station (Hua Lamphong) area to the Sam Yan Intersection, spanning 1.5 kilometres. This initiative is part of a larger project to install an underground communication cable system, with plans to continue the removal of overhead cables in the area until May 2024.

    Oil Spill Incident at the Single Buoy Mooring (SBM-2)

    » Thai Oil Public Company Limited (the “Company”), reports that the oil spill incident near the Single Buoy Mooring (SBM-2) has been successfully resolved. The latest aerial and maritime surveys conducted in the morning of September 7, 2023, revealed no remaining oil residue. Given the current controlled situation, the Royal Thai Navy has issued an order to close the Command Centre of Oil Spill Response, 1st Naval Area Command. However, continuous monitoring and oil residue inspections will persist, along with the preparation of personnel and equipment in case of any future oil residue discovery.

    » Pol Gen Aswin Kwanmuang, Bangkok Governor, together with Khachit Chatchawanit, Permanent Secretary for the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), and Jaturong Suriyasasin, Deputy Governor of the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA), presided over the opening ceremony of an EV Charging Station at Benchakitti Park. The two new charger ports are AC Normal Charger type with 22 kW capacity. During an introductory period, they will serve the public free of charge.
