» In celebration of the auspicious occasion of the birthday of His Majesty the King on July 28, the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra gave its first concert in months on the stage of Thailand Cultural Centre on July 18. Conducted with great conviction by veteran RBSO director Vanich Potavanich, The Royal Guards March by HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great began proceedings, followed by the world premiere of The Royal Celebration Overture by Prof Narongrit Dhamabutra, The Moldau symphonic poem by Bedrich Smetana and Symphony No.5 In C Minor by Ludwig van Beethoven. The performance was filmed and aired on national television on July 28.
