ThaiOil Receives Carbon Footprint Product Certification for 2023

» Thai Oil Public Company Limited, represented by Mr. Sermsak Nuntapong, Acting Vice President of Quality Management, recently received the 2023 Carbon Footprint for Products (CPF) Certificate for nine products. This award was bestowed by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organisation (Public Organisation), with Mr. Kiatchai Maitriwong, Executive Director, presenting the certificate. The ceremony was held on the 9th floor of the Government Complex Commemorating His Majesty on Chaeng Wattana Road, Laksi, Bangkok.

Dow receives “ISCC PLUS” certification, advancing the circular economy of plastics

» The polyethylene and specialty elastomers plants of Dow Thailand Group recently received International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) under the ISCC PLUS scheme for advancing the circular economy of plastics, with a new technology to utilise waste as circular feedstocks. The initiative helps divert plastic waste—which otherwise would be sent to landfills—for plastic resin production.

IRPC joined hands with partners, using plastic crude oil while minimizing the mounting waste problem.

» IRPC signed a contract with Tecsa Energy and V.A. Energy to use the plastic crude oil of around 300,000 – 400,000 liters per month. This high quality crude oil is produced in the process of pyrolysis, an advanced technology. The production can eliminate the plastic waste of around 560 tons per month and provides an option for crude selection. This option supports the circular economy, aligning with the government’s policy to solve and manage the waste problem sustainably.
