B Magazine, Richard Mcleish, Published on 14/10/2012
» It's been a big year for the smartphone market. Samsung released its Galaxy S III in May in the US to pre-empt the arrival of Apple's much-anticipated iPhone 5 last month. Nokia is also equipping its new phones with an NFC (near field communication) chip that can be used for payments. So why is the manufacturer continuing with its Symbian OS that has come to be deplored by many users? And will the on-board NFC chips help it return to its former glory? Let's peek at the new models to find out.

» Most smartphones these days capture decent quality videos and pictures, but our ability to present that media is still limited. One solution to this problem are pico projectors, and since 2009, many manufacturers have tried their hands in the pico projector market _ Samsung, LG, Acer, Apicer, BenQ, among others. But nobody seems to have been able to recreate in a pico the slick performance that new full-sized projectors now provide.
