The Bust of King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great in Lausanne

» Swiss Student Alumni Association under the Royal Patronage of HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana, together with the Ministry of Culture and Siam Piwat, organised, “The Bust of King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great in Lausanne”. Taking place at Siam Paragon’s 2nd floor of Lifestyle Hall, the seven-day event is held to honour and pay respects to the late King Bhumibol on the anniversary of his birthday on December 5. From 2-12 December, the event displays a replica of the life-size bronze bust which is now overlooking Lake Geneva in Switzerland. Together on display is a replica of the Thai Pavilion in Lausanne. The event also includes an exhibition showcasing Royal Projects models.

» Mr. Chana Poomee (3rd right), Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA), gave a warm welcome to cement and concrete participants in the technical seminar on “LC3 Information Day: Road to Thailand Net Zero Emission” at Grand Ballroom, Century Park Bangkok, hosted by TCMA in collaboration with Thailand Concrete Association, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, and Cementis. The seminar is part of TCMA’s efforts to drive Thailand Net Zero Cement & Concrete Roadmap 2050 and support Thailand National Policy on Net Zero emission.

Mrs. Helene Budliger Artieda, Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Thailand, and Mr. Pierre Chabloz, General Consul and Adviser to the Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Thailand, in a courtesy call on the occasion of the ambassador’s assumption of duty and to discuss cooperation on a pilot electric transportation project, or “SHIFT”. Also discussed was the impact of construction projects surrounding the embassy of the Swiss Confederation in Thailand. The Governor of Bangkok presented a replica Bangkok city key and book titled “Arches Honoring the Royal House of Chakri” to the Ambassador as souvenirs.
